Tuggeranong Vikings Basketball Club

The Tuggeranong Vikings Basketball Club was formed in 1984 and caters for Juniors and Seniors. In recent years we have seen our numbers increase to over 250 players comprising of 30 Junior and 7 Senior Teams (includes Social Mixed) and growing.

The Club develops and promotes the game of basketball in the Tuggeranong Valley, and facilitates the community to participate and enjoy basketball. This is achieved by creating an environment that promotes enjoyment and good sportsmanship, opportunities for players and coaches to progress in the sport, maintaining standards acceptable to our community and keeping the focus on fun.

Vikings Basketball and Basketball ACT have a range of programs on offer to assist people involved in our sport both on and off the court. These programs are available to players, coaches, managers, officials, parents, administrators and more.

Vikings basketball has been active in working with the Club to build recognition of both our name, and the Vikings Group throughout Canberra.

Tuggeranong Vikings U10-U19 Boys & Girls Basketball Registrations for 2025/26 Summer Season are CLOSED.

Junior Premier League (JPL) commences 17 Oct – 21 March 2026.

Junior U12s-U19s Div1-6 commences 18 Oct – 22 March 2026.

Junior U10s commences 19 Oct – 22 March 2026.

New Incoming members – Please contact the Club Registrar at registrar@vikingsbasketball.com.au to check if there are places available in a team for the season and provide the following information:

Fees:

JPL U12s-U19s: Vikings Registration $420 + Vikings Uniform (if required) $140 + Warm-up top + Basketball ACT Player Fee
Div1-6 U12s-U19s: Vikings Registration $300 + Vikings Uniform (if required) $105 + Basketball ACT Player Fee

U10s: Vikings Registration $255 + Basketball ACT Player Fee (uniform cost not required)

Training Sessions are held once a week in afternoons or evenings. Players will be informed before season commences of their training schedule for the season and can always check the Training Times page for up to date timings.

Competition Games occur each weekend in Canberra at the Tuggeranong or Belconnen basketball stadiums or advised by Basketball ACT. Venue/Day/Time varies for each team, each week. Players to be informed before season commences of their game schedule for the season.

NOTE: There are NO games or training during School Holidays or on Public Holidays

Payment Requirements

The club requires full payment upon registering a player online through PlayHQ.
